Galaxico was een theatervoorstelling over de teleurstelling, verveling en verwondering die de ruimtevaart ons heeft opgeleverd. Deze werden in het theater gevisualeerd met verschillende blacklight effecten en live muziek door Patrick Bossink. Ikzelf speelde een astronaut die in een zelf in elkaar geknutseld universum zweeft, tussen de kosmos en commercie. De voorstelling werd als kerstvoorstelling meerdere malen opgevoerd bij WORM in 2018.

Galaxico was a theater play about the disappointment, boredom and amazement that space travel has brought us. These were visualized in the theater with the help of various blacklight effects and live music by Patrick Bossink. I played an astronaut who floats in a universe of my own making, between cosmos and commerce. The play was performed multiple times during Christmas at WORM in 2018.

Tegelijkertijd met Galaxico werd de rondreizende installatie ‘ISDRA’ vervaardigd. Het concept hierachter was een hangende video-installatie, geïnspireerd op koepelplanetaria waarin de verbeelding van de ruimte getoond werd, in plaats van een feitelijk-anekdotisch verhaal over hoe de ruimte in elkaar steekt. Daarnaast werd een archief samengesteld met verschillende ruimtevaart-kritische initiatieven en denkers.

At the same time as Galaxico, the traveling installation ‘ISDRA’ was created. The concept behind this was a hanging video installation, inspired by dome planetariums that showed the imagination of space, instead of a factual-anecdotal stories about the construct of space. In addition, an archive was compiled with various space-critical initiatives and thinkers.
